In order to further improve the quality of our master's students, attract more excellent candidates with strong innovation ability, scientific research ability and practical ability to apply, strengthen the general students' understanding of our master's students' enrollment disciplines, scientific research platform and faculty and cultivation characteristics, and promote the interaction and communication between teachers and students, our college held the "College of Physics and The School of Physics and Electronic Engineering Summer Camp 2022" was held from July 17 to 20.
In view of the current sporadic distribution of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in many parts of the country and the convenience of student participation, this "summer camp" was held in an online manner. After the preliminary publicity and promotion, organization of registration, qualification examination and other aspects of the College, attracted outstanding students from all over the country to apply for this "summer camp" activities.
On the morning of 17th, the opening ceremony was held online and Prof. Chen Yuanping, Dean of School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, delivered the opening speech. Dean Chen introduced the 100-year history of Jiangsu University, the development of the college, the discipline research direction and research characteristics, as well as the complete scholarship system, and encouraged the campers to take this as a starting point to apply for graduate studies in the School of Physics and Electronic Engineeringof Jiangsu University. At the same time, we hope that the campers can strengthen communication, learn from each other and improve together.
In the following 4 days, the college arranged the theme seminar and summer camp assessment for the participants. The academic atmosphere of the thematic seminars by experts was warm, and the experts won the applause of the campers with their humor and wisdom, and provoked everyone to think about scientific research. It also enhanced the understanding of undergraduates from major universities about the basic situation, discipline characteristics and postgraduate training policy of our college, and improved the influence of our college among undergraduates nationwide.
